Once the core technology is completed it can be expanded into a range of possible markets each with benefits and drawbacks, as well as specialisations that might be required. E.g. engines deployed to aerospace must not only maintain efficiency, but must also be lightweight and highly reliable, making them potentially more costly than an equivalent power ground unit.
